Advanced Analysis
Saving Sessions
After uploading and analyzing a telemetry file, you can save the parsed session to your TrackOut account. Saved sessions can be loaded at any time without needing the original file.
How to save
- Upload and parse your XRK, XRZ, or VBO file
- Select a car from your garage to associate the session with
- Click the Save Session button
- The telemetry data is compressed and stored securely in your account
Car association
Each saved session is linked to a car in your garage. This keeps your sessions organized and allows you to view all sessions for a specific vehicle.
What gets saved
When you save a session, TrackOut stores the full parsed dataset:
- GPS points -- All latitude, longitude, and heading data for track map rendering
- Channel data -- Speed, G-forces, RPM, and all other detected channels
- Lap times -- Individual lap times and lap boundary markers
- Session metadata -- Track name, session date, and original filename
The data is compressed before storage to minimize space usage while preserving full fidelity. No data is lost during the save process.
Loading saved sessions
Saved sessions appear in the session dropdown on the Telemetry analysis page. Select any saved session to instantly load its telemetry data.
Loaded sessions behave identically to freshly parsed files. You can:
- Select and compare laps
- View all charts and the track map
- Use the session analysis overlay
- Access braking zone statistics
File not required
Once a session is saved, you do not need the original XRK/XRZ/VBO file to view it. All necessary data is stored in your account.
